# What you need

> The short list, before you start.

## Before you apply

> [card] A Telegram group
>
> One you own or administer. Ace Up works best where people already talk to
> each other.

> [card] A Telegram account for BotFather
>
> You will create your own bot. It takes about two minutes.

> [card] A wallet address
>
> Where your payouts go, every two weeks. One per asset you want paid in.

> [card] To not be a player at your own venue
>
> You and your managers cannot play there. Worth knowing before, not after.

## What you do not need

* **A bankroll.** Ace Up funds it entirely.
* **A server, a domain or any hosting.** Your bot runs on Ace Up's
  infrastructure.
* **Any technical work.** The whole setup is messages in a chat plus one
  BotFather command.
* **A minimum group size.** There is no member threshold.

## What it costs you

Nothing. There is no fee to run a venue, no revenue minimum and no commitment.

## How long it takes

| Step | Time |
| - | - |
| Create your bot in BotFather | \~2 minutes |
| Run `/newvenue` and hand over the token | \~2 minutes |
| **Activation by a person** | usually within a couple of hours |
| Run `/newapp` in BotFather | \~2 minutes |
| Post the link in your group | \~1 minute |

Activation is always reviewed by a human. There is no auto-activation setting,
and nothing runs under your bot until someone at Ace Up has approved it.

## The agreement

Before a venue is created you are shown the owner agreement and asked to accept
it explicitly — **I agree · create my venue**. It is the first message in
`/newvenue`, not a link in a footer.

Your acceptance is recorded with the time, your Telegram ID and the version.

## Ready
